12 It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves, but you, in these things which now have been declared to you through those who (A)proclaimed the gospel to you by (B)the Holy Spirit sent from heaven—things into which (C)angels long to [a]look.

12 It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but you,(A) when they spoke of the things that have now been told you by those who have preached the gospel to you(B) by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven.(C) Even angels long to look into these things.

Be Holy

13 Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober,(D) set your hope(E) on the grace to be brought to you(F) when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming.(G) 14 As obedient(H) children, do not conform(I) to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance.(J)
