And you are a chosen family[e], a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His possession, so that you may report the virtues[f] of the One having called you out of darkness into His marvelous light—

Now to you who believe, this stone is precious. But to those who do not believe,(A)

They stumble because they disobey the message—which is also what they were destined for.(E)

But you are a chosen people,(F) a royal priesthood,(G) a holy nation,(H) God’s special possession,(I) that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.(J)
