17 For [it is] better, if the will of God should will it, to suffer [as] well-doers than [as] evildoers;
18 for Christ indeed has once suffered for sins, [the] just for [the] unjust, that he might bring us to God; being put to death in flesh, but made alive in [the] Spirit,
19 in which also going he preached to the spirits [which are] in prison,

17 For it is better, if it is God’s will,(A) to suffer for doing good(B) than for doing evil. 18 For Christ also suffered once(C) for sins,(D) the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God.(E) He was put to death in the body(F) but made alive in the Spirit.(G) 19 After being made alive,[a] he went and made proclamation to the imprisoned spirits(H)—
