7 Likewise you husbands, live considerately with your wives, bestowing honor on the woman as the weaker sex, since you are joint heirs of the grace of life, in order that your prayers may not be hindered.

8 Finally, all of you, have unity of spirit, sympathy, love of the brethren, a tender heart and a humble mind. 9 Do not return evil for evil or reviling for reviling; but on the contrary bless, for to this you have been called, that you may obtain a blessing.

7 Husbands,(A) in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers.

8 Finally, all of you, be like-minded,(B) be sympathetic, love one another,(C) be compassionate and humble.(D) 9 Do not repay evil with evil(E) or insult with insult.(F) On the contrary, repay evil with blessing,(G) because to this(H) you were called(I) so that you may inherit a blessing.(J)
