5 They will give an account to the one who is ready to judge the living and the dead. 6 Indeed, this is why the gospel was proclaimed even to those who have died, so that they could be judged in their mortal flesh like all humans and live in the spiritual realm like God.
7 Because everything will soon come to an end, be sensible and clear-headed, so you can pray.

5 But they will have to give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.(A) 6 For this is the reason the gospel was preached even to those who are now dead,(B) so that they might be judged according to human standards in regard to the body, but live according to God in regard to the spirit.
7 The end of all things is near.(C) Therefore be alert and of sober mind(D) so that you may pray.
