2 Be good shepherds of the flock God has put in your care. Do not care for the flock as if you were made to. Do not care for the flock for money, but do it because you want to. 3 Do not be bosses over the people you lead. Live as you would like to have them live. 4 When the Head Shepherd comes again, you will get the crown of shining-greatness that will not come to an end.

2 Be shepherds of God’s flock(A) that is under your care, watching over them—not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be;(B) not pursuing dishonest gain,(C) but eager to serve; 3 not lording it over(D) those entrusted to you, but being examples(E) to the flock. 4 And when the Chief Shepherd(F) appears, you will receive the crown of glory(G) that will never fade away.(H)
