3 (A)Ahijah the son of Ahitub, (B)Ichabod’s brother, the son of Phinehas, the son of Eli, the Lord’s priest in Shiloh, was (C)wearing an ephod. But the people did not know that Jonathan had gone.
4 Between the passes, by which Jonathan sought to go over (D)to the Philistines’ garrison, there was a sharp rock on one side and a sharp rock on the other side. And the name of one was Bozez, and the name of the other Seneh. 5 The front of one faced northward opposite Michmash, and the other southward opposite Gibeah.

3 among whom was Ahijah, who was wearing an ephod. He was a son of Ichabod’s(A) brother Ahitub(B) son of Phinehas, the son of Eli,(C) the Lord’s priest in Shiloh.(D) No one was aware that Jonathan had left.
4 On each side of the pass(E) that Jonathan intended to cross to reach the Philistine outpost was a cliff; one was called Bozez and the other Seneh. 5 One cliff stood to the north toward Mikmash, the other to the south toward Geba.(F)
