1 Samuel 15:19-21
New English Translation
19 Why haven’t you obeyed[a] the Lord? Instead you have greedily rushed upon the plunder! You have done what is wrong in the Lord’s estimation.”[b]
20 Then Saul said to Samuel, “But I have obeyed[c] the Lord! I went on the campaign[d] the Lord sent me on. I brought back King Agag of the Amalekites after exterminating the Amalekites. 21 But the army took from the plunder some of the sheep and cattle—the best of what was to be slaughtered—to sacrifice to the Lord your God in Gilgal.”

New International Version
19 Why did you not obey the Lord? Why did you pounce on the plunder(A) and do evil in the eyes of the Lord?”
20 “But I did obey(B) the Lord,” Saul said. “I went on the mission the Lord assigned me. I completely destroyed the Amalekites and brought back Agag their king. 21 The soldiers took sheep and cattle from the plunder, the best of what was devoted to God, in order to sacrifice them to the Lord your God at Gilgal.”
