26 But Samuel said to Saul, “I will not return with you; for (A)you have rejected the word of Yahweh, and Yahweh has rejected you from being king over Israel.” 27 Then Samuel turned to go, but (B)Saul seized the edge of his robe, and it tore. 28 So Samuel said to him, “(C)Yahweh has torn the kingdom of Israel from you today and has given it to your neighbor, who is better than you.

27 As Samuel turned to leave, Saul caught hold of the hem of his robe,(B) and it tore.(C) 28 Samuel said to him, “The Lord has torn(D) the kingdom(E) of Israel from you today and has given it to one of your neighbors—to one better than you.(F)
