Saul said to the Kenites, “Go away, leave the Amalekites, so that I not destroy you along with them. You were kind to all of the Israelites when they came up out of Egypt.” So the Kenites moved away from the Amalekites.[a]

Saul then struck down the Amalekites from Havilah down to Shur which lies to the east of Egypt. He captured Agag, the king of the Amalekites alive, but he put all of the people to the sword.
