1 Samuel 16:12-13

12 So Jesse sent for him. He had beautiful eyes and a healthy,[a] handsome appearance.(A)

Then the Lord said, “Anoint him, for he is the one.”(B) 13 So Samuel took the horn of oil, anointed him(C) in the presence of his brothers, and the Spirit of the Lord took control of David from that day forward.(D) Then Samuel set out and went to Ramah.

Then the Lord said, “Rise and anoint him; this is the one.”

13 So Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed(C) him in the presence of his brothers, and from that day on the Spirit of the Lord(D) came powerfully upon David.(E) Samuel then went to Ramah.
