1 Samuel 17:10-12

10 And the Philistine said, (A)“I defy the ranks of Israel this day. Give me a man, that we may fight together.” 11 When Saul and all Israel heard these words of the Philistine, they were dismayed and greatly afraid.
12 Now David was (B)the son of an (C)Ephrathite of Bethlehem in Judah, (D)named Jesse, (E)who had eight sons. In the days of Saul the man was already old and advanced in years.[a]

12 Now David was the son of an Ephrathite(C) named Jesse,(D) who was from Bethlehem(E) in Judah. Jesse had eight(F) sons, and in Saul’s time he was very old.
