35 and I would go out after it and strike it and (A)rescue the lamb from its mouth. Then it rose up against me, and I would seize it by its beard and strike it down and put it to death. 36 Your servant has struck down both the lion and the bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, since he has [a]reproached the battle lines of the living God.” 37 And David said, “(B)Yahweh, who delivered me from the hand of the lion and from the hand of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.” And Saul said to David, “(C)Go, and may Yahweh be with you.”

35 I went after it, struck it and rescued the sheep from its mouth. When it turned on me, I seized(A) it by its hair, struck it and killed it. 36 Your servant has killed both the lion(B) and the bear; this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, because he has defied the armies of the living God. 37 The Lord who rescued(C) me from the paw of the lion(D) and the paw of the bear will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine.”
Saul said to David, “Go, and the Lord be with(E) you.”
