6 He had bronze armor protecting his legs and a bronze javelin between his shoulders. 7 The shaft of his spear was as big as a weaver’s beam, and the iron spearhead weighed fifteen pounds. His shield-bearer went ahead of him. 8 He stood and yelled at the armies of Isra’el, “Why come out and draw up a battle line? I’m a P’lishti, and you are servants of Sha’ul, so choose a man for yourselves, and let him come down to me.

New International Version
6 on his legs he wore bronze greaves, and a bronze javelin(A) was slung on his back. 7 His spear shaft was like a weaver’s rod,(B) and its iron point weighed six hundred shekels.[a] His shield bearer(C) went ahead of him.
8 Goliath stood and shouted to the ranks of Israel, “Why do you come out and line up for battle? Am I not a Philistine, and are you not the servants of Saul? Choose(D) a man and have him come down to me.
