New International Version

¹¹and he hurled it, saying to himself,^(A) “I’ll pin David to the wall.” But David eluded^(B) him twice.^(C)

³³Then Saul threw his spear at Jonathan to kill him,^(A) so he knew that his father was determined to kill David.^(B)

³³But Saul hurled his spear at him to kill him. Then Jonathan knew that his father intended^(A) to kill David.
