14 David continued to succeed in everything he undertook, for the Lord was with him. 15-16 When King Saul saw this, he became even more afraid of him; but all Israel and Judah loved him, for he was as one of them.

13 So he sent David away from him and gave him command over a thousand men, and David led(A) the troops in their campaigns.(B) 14 In everything he did he had great success,(C) because the Lord was with(D) him. 15 When Saul saw how successful he was, he was afraid of him.
