29 Saul became even more afraid of him.[a] Saul continued to be at odds with David from then on.[b] 30 [c] The leaders of the Philistines would march out, and as often as they did so, David achieved more success than all of Saul’s servants. His name was held in high esteem.

New International Version
29 Saul became still more afraid(A) of him, and he remained his enemy the rest of his days.
30 The Philistine commanders continued to go out to battle, and as often as they did, David met with more success(B) than the rest of Saul’s officers, and his name became well known.
