¹²So Michal let David down through a window: and he went, and fled, and escaped.

³²In Damascus the governor under King Aretas had the city of the Damascenes guarded in order to arrest me.^(A)

³²In Damascus the governor under Aretas the king kept the city of the damascenes with a garrison, desirous to apprehend me:

³³But I was lowered in a basket from a window in the wall and slipped through his hands.^(A)

³³And through a window in a basket was I let down by the wall, and escaped his hands.
