7 The Lord brings poverty and gives wealth;(A)
He humbles and He exalts.(B)
8 He raises the poor from the dust(C)
and lifts the needy from the garbage pile.(D)
He seats them with noblemen(E)
and gives them a throne of honor.[a]
For the foundations of the earth are the Lord’s;(F)
He has set the world on them.(G)
