9 Then Doeg the Edomite,(A) who was in charge of Saul’s servants, answered, “I saw Jesse’s son come to Ahimelech son of Ahitub at Nob.(B) 10 Ahimelech inquired of the Lord for him(C) and gave him provisions.(D) He also gave him the sword of Goliath the Philistine.”(E)

11 The king sent messengers to summon the priest Ahimelech son of Ahitub, and his father’s whole family, who were priests in Nob. All of them came to the king. 12 Then Saul said, “Listen, son of Ahitub!”
“I’m at your service,(F) my lord,” he said.

9 But Doeg(A) the Edomite, who was standing with Saul’s officials, said, “I saw the son of Jesse come to Ahimelek son of Ahitub(B) at Nob.(C) 10 Ahimelek inquired(D) of the Lord for him; he also gave him provisions(E) and the sword(F) of Goliath the Philistine.”
11 Then the king sent for the priest Ahimelek son of Ahitub and all the men of his family, who were the priests at Nob, and they all came to the king. 12 Saul said, “Listen now, son of Ahitub.”
“Yes, my lord,” he answered.
