³⁶ Then Abigail went to Nabal, and there he was in his house, holding a feast fit for a king.^(A) Nabal was in a good mood^[a] and very drunk, so she didn’t say anything^[b] to him^(B) until morning light.

¹² When Ben-hadad heard this response, while he and the kings were drinking^(A) in the tents, he said to his servants, “Take your positions.” So they took their positions against the city.

¹⁶ They marched out at noon while Ben-hadad and the 32 kings^(A) who were helping him were getting drunk in the tents.

¹⁸ And don’t get drunk^(A) with wine,^(B) which leads to reckless actions, but be filled by the Spirit:^(C)
