1 Samuel 28:2-4
New American Standard Bible
2 David said to Achish, “Very well, you will learn what your servant can do.” So Achish said to David, “Then I will assuredly make you [a]my bodyguard (A)for [b]life!”
3 Now (B)Samuel was dead, and all Israel had mourned him and buried him (C)in Ramah, his own city. And Saul had removed the (D)mediums and spiritists from the land. 4 So the Philistines assembled and came and camped (E)in Shunem; and Saul gathered all Israel together, and they camped in (F)Gilboa.

New International Version
2 David said, “Then you will see for yourself what your servant can do.”
Achish replied, “Very well, I will make you my bodyguard(A) for life.”
Saul and the Medium at Endor
3 Now Samuel was dead,(B) and all Israel had mourned for him and buried him in his own town of Ramah.(C) Saul had expelled(D) the mediums and spiritists(E) from the land.
4 The Philistines assembled and came and set up camp at Shunem,(F) while Saul gathered all Israel and set up camp at Gilboa.(G)
