GOD’S WORD Translation
5 When Saul looked at the Philistine army, he was very afraid—terrified. 6 He prayed to the Lord, but the Lord didn’t answer him through dreams, the Urim,[a] or prophets. 7 Saul told his officers, “Find me a woman who conjures up the dead. Then I’ll go to her and ask for her services.”
His officers told him, “There is a woman at Endor who conjures up the dead.”

5 When Saul saw the Philistine army, he was afraid; terror(A) filled his heart. 6 He inquired(B) of the Lord, but the Lord did not answer him by dreams(C) or Urim(D) or prophets.(E) 7 Saul then said to his attendants, “Find me a woman who is a medium,(F) so I may go and inquire of her.”
“There is one in Endor,(G)” they said.
