1 Samuel 3:11-13

11 Then the Lord said to Samuel, “Behold, I am about to do a thing in Israel (A)at which the two ears of everyone who hears it will tingle. 12 On that day I will fulfill against Eli (B)all that I have spoken concerning his house, from beginning to end. 13 (C)And I declare to him that I am about to punish his house forever, for the iniquity that he knew, (D)because his sons were blaspheming God,[a] (E)and he did not restrain them.

11 And the Lord said to Samuel: “See, I am about to do something in Israel that will make the ears of everyone who hears about it tingle.(A) 12 At that time I will carry out against Eli everything(B) I spoke against his family—from beginning to end. 13 For I told him that I would judge his family forever because of the sin he knew about; his sons blasphemed God,[a] and he failed to restrain(C) them.
