²⁶ When David came to Ziklag, he sent some of the plunder to his friends, the elders of Judah, saying, “Here is a gift for you^(A) from the plunder of the Lord’s enemies.”^{(B) 27} He sent gifts^[a] to those in Bethel,^(C) in Ramoth of the Negev,^(D) and in Jattir;^{(E) 28} to those in Aroer,^(F) in Siphmoth,^(G) and in Eshtemoa;^{(H) 29} to those in Racal, in the towns of the Jerahmeelites,^(I) and in the towns of the Kenites;^{(J) 30} to those in Hormah,^(K) in Bor-ashan,^(L) and in Athach; ³¹ to those in Hebron,^(M) and to those in all the places where David and his men had roamed.^(N)
