1 Samuel 7:9-11

9 Samuel took (A)a suckling lamb and offered it for a whole burnt offering to the Lord; and Samuel cried to the Lord for Israel and (B)the Lord answered him. 10 Now Samuel was offering up the burnt offering, and the Philistines drew near to battle against Israel. But (C)the Lord thundered with a great [a]thunder on that day against the Philistines and (D)confused them, so that they were [b]routed before Israel. 11 The men of Israel went out of Mizpah and pursued the Philistines, and struck them down as far as below Beth-car.

9 Then Samuel(A) took a suckling lamb and sacrificed it as a whole burnt offering to the Lord. He cried out to the Lord on Israel’s behalf, and the Lord answered him.(B)
10 While Samuel was sacrificing the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to engage Israel in battle. But that day the Lord thundered(C) with loud thunder against the Philistines and threw them into such a panic(D) that they were routed before the Israelites. 11 The men of Israel rushed out of Mizpah and pursued the Philistines, slaughtering them along the way to a point below Beth Kar.
