¹⁶ “^(A)The one who listens to you listens to Me, and ^(B)the one who rejects you rejects Me; but the one who rejects Me rejects the One who sent Me.”

² Therefore ^[a]whoever resists authority has opposed the ordinance of God; and they who have opposed will receive condemnation upon themselves.

⁸ Therefore, the one who rejects this is not rejecting man, but the God who ^(A)gives His Holy Spirit to you.
