1 Thessalonians 2:11-13
Disciples’ Literal New Testament
11 just-as you know how each one of you, as a father his own children, 12 we were exhorting you and encouraging and testifying so-that you might walk worthily of God, the One calling you into His own kingdom and glory.
And We Thank God You Accepted Our Message As God’s Word, Even Amidst Persecution
13 And for this[a] reason we are indeed[b] giving-thanks to God unceasingly: because having received the word of God heard from us[c], you accepted not the word of humans, but, as it truly is, the word of God, which also is at-work[d] in you, the ones believing.

New International Version
11 For you know that we dealt with each of you as a father deals with his own children,(A) 12 encouraging, comforting and urging you to live lives worthy(B) of God, who calls(C) you into his kingdom and glory.
13 And we also thank God continually(D) because, when you received the word of God,(E) which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is indeed at work in you who believe.
