10 And indeed you are practicing it toward all the brothers and sisters[a] in all of Macedonia. But we urge you, brothers and sisters, to do so more and more,[b] 11 to aspire to lead a quiet life, to attend to your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you. 12 In this way you will live[c] a decent life before outsiders and not be in need.[d]

10 And in fact, you do love all of God’s family throughout Macedonia.(A) Yet we urge you, brothers and sisters, to do so more and more,(B) 11 and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet life: You should mind your own business and work with your hands,(C) just as we told you, 12 so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders(D) and so that you will not be dependent on anybody.
