⁶ so then, let’s not ^(A)sleep as ^[a](B)others do, but let’s be alert and ^[b](C)sober.

⁸ But since ^(A)we are of the day, let’s ^(B)be ^[a]sober, having put on the ^(C)breastplate of ^(D)faith and love, and as a ^(E)helmet, the ^(F)hope of salvation.

⁵ But as for you, ^(A)use self-restraint in all things, ^(B)endure hardship, do the work of an ^(C)evangelist, fulfill your ^(D)ministry.

^7 (A)The end of all things ^[a]is near; therefore, ^(B)be of sound judgment and sober spirit for the purpose of ^[b]prayer.

^8 (A)Be of sober spirit, ^(B)be on the alert. Your adversary, ^(C)the devil, prowls around like a roaring ^(D)lion, seeking someone to devour.
