⁷ For the ^[a](A)overseer must be above reproach as ^(B)God’s steward, not ^(C)self-willed, not quick-tempered, not ^(D)addicted to wine, not pugnacious, ^(E)not fond of sordid gain,

² shepherd ^(A)the flock of God among you, exercising oversight ^(B)not under compulsion, but voluntarily, according to the will of God; and ^(C)not for sordid gain, but with eagerness;
