¹³ each one’s work will become obvious, for the day^[a] will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire;^(A) the fire will test the quality of each one’s work.^(B)

²⁷ but a terrifying expectation of judgment and the fury of a fire about to consume the adversaries.^(A)

²⁹ for our God is a consuming fire.^(A)

⁷ But by the same word,^(A) the present heavens and earth are stored up for fire, being kept until the day of judgment^(B) and destruction of ungodly men.

¹⁰ he will also drink the wine of God’s wrath, which is mixed full strength in the cup of His anger.^(A) He will be tormented with fire and sulfur^(B) in the sight of the holy angels and in the sight of the Lamb,
