(A)In the name of our Lord Jesus, when you are assembled, and [a]I with you in spirit, (B)with the power of our Lord Jesus, I have decided [b]to (C)turn such a person over to (D)Satan for the destruction of his [c]body, so that his spirit may be saved on (E)the day of the [d]Lord.

(F)Your boasting is not good. (G)Do you not know that (H)a little [e]leaven leavens the whole lump of dough? Clean out the old leaven so that you may be a new lump, just as you are in fact unleavened. For Christ our (I)Passover also has been sacrificed. Therefore let’s celebrate the feast, (J)not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

I wrote to you in my letter (K)not to associate with sexually immoral people; 10 I did not at all mean with the sexually immoral people of this world, or with the greedy and swindlers, or with (L)idolaters, for then you would have to leave the world. 11 But [f]actually, I [g]wrote to you not to associate [h]with any so-called (M)brother if he is a sexually immoral person, or a greedy person, or (N)an idolater, or is verbally abusive, or habitually drunk, or a swindler—not even to eat with such a person. 12 For what business of mine is it to judge (O)outsiders? (P)Do you not judge those who are within the church? 13 But those who are outside, God [i]judges. (Q)Remove the evil person from among yourselves.

11 For behold what earnestness this very thing, this [a]godly sorrow, has produced in you: what vindication of yourselves, what indignation, what fear, what (A)longing, what zeal, what (B)punishment of wrong! In everything you (C)demonstrated yourselves to be innocent in the matter.
