¹² For our ^[a]proud confidence is this: the testimony of ^(A)our conscience, that in holiness and ^(B)godly sincerity, ^(C)not in fleshly wisdom but in the grace of God, we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially toward you.

^4 (A)but just as we have been approved by God to be ^(B)entrusted with the gospel, so we speak, ^(C)not intending to please people, but to please God, who ^[a](D)examines our hearts.

^11 (A)Whoever speaks is to do so as one who is speaking ^(B)actual words of God; whoever serves is to do so as one who is serving ^[a](C)by the strength which God supplies; so that ^(D)in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, ^(E)to whom belongs the glory and ^[b]dominion forever and ever.
