Remaining with God

²⁴ What you have heard from the beginning is to remain in you. If what you have heard from the beginning remains in you, then you will remain in the Son^(A) and in the Father.^(B)

²⁰ And we know that the Son of God has come^(A) and has given us understanding so that we may know the true one.^[a] We are in the true one—that is, in his Son, Jesus Christ.^(B) He is the true God and eternal life.
