¹⁵ I am not asking You to take them out of the world, but to keep them away from ^[a](A)the evil one. ^16 (B)They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. ^17 (C)Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth. ¹⁸ Just as ^(D)You sent Me into the world, ^(E)I also sent them into the world.

^25 (A)Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and ^(B)gave Himself up for her, ^26 (C)so that He might sanctify her, having ^(D)cleansed her by the ^(E)washing of water with ^(F)the word, ²⁷ that He might ^(G)present to Himself the church ^[a]in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be ^(H)holy and blameless.
