¹⁵ For the Lord will strike Israel, as a reed is shaken in the water. He will ^(A)uproot Israel from this ^(B)good land which He gave to their fathers, and will scatter them ^(C)beyond ^[a]the River, ^(D)because they have made their ^[b]wooden images, provoking the Lord to anger.

^20 (A)then I will uproot them from My land which I have given them; and this house which I have ^[a]sanctified for My name I will cast out of My sight, and will make it a proverb and a ^(B)byword among all peoples.

¹⁴ Thus says the Lord: “Against all My evil neighbors who ^(A)touch the inheritance which I have caused My people Israel to inherit—behold, I will ^(B)pluck them out of their land and pluck out the house of Judah from among them.

²⁸ And it shall come to pass, that as I have ^(A)watched over them ^(B)to pluck up, to break down, to throw down, to destroy, and to afflict, so I will watch over them ^(C)to build and to plant, says the Lord.

¹⁰ ‘If you will still remain in this land, then ^(A)I will build you and not pull you down, and I will plant you and not pluck you up. For I ^(B)relent concerning the disaster that I have brought upon you.
