²¹ Then he stretched himself out over the boy three times.^(A) He cried out to the Lord and said, “My Lord God, please let this boy’s life return to him!”

³⁴ Then he went up and lay on the boy:^(A) he put mouth to mouth, eye to eye, hand to hand. While he bent down over him, the boy’s flesh became warm.^(B)

²³ When Jesus came to the leader’s house, He saw the flute players and a crowd lamenting loudly.^{(A) 24} “Leave,” He said, “because the girl isn’t dead, but sleeping.”^(B) And they started laughing at Him.

³⁹ He went in and said to them, “Why are you making a commotion and weeping?^(A) The child^(B) is not dead but asleep.”^(C)
