¹² “Concerning this house that you are building, ^(A)if you will walk in my statutes and obey my rules and keep all my commandments and walk in them, then I will establish my word with you, ^(B)which I spoke to David your father.

^10 (A)He shall build a house for my name. ^(B)He shall be my son, and I will be his father, and I will establish his royal throne in Israel for ever.’

⁴ that the Lord may ^(A)establish his word that he spoke concerning me, saying, ^(B)‘If your sons pay close attention to their way, ^(C)to walk before me in faithfulness with all their heart and with all their soul, ^(D)you shall not lack^[a] a man on the throne of Israel.’
