¹¹ He made this deceitful accusation against Alexander because he coveted his kingdom. ¹² After taking his daughter away from him and giving her to Demetrius, Ptolemy ended his friendship with Alexander, and their enmity became clearly manifest. ¹³ Then Ptolemy entered Antioch and assumed the crown of Asia in addition to the crown of Egypt that he already possessed.
