¹⁷ Then Eli answered and said, “^(A)Go in peace; and may the God of Israel ^(B)grant your request that you have asked of Him.”

²⁰ They were helped against them, and the Hagrites and all who were with them were handed over to them; for ^(A)they cried out to God in the battle, and He answered their prayers because ^(B)they trusted in Him.

¹³ When he prayed to Him, ^(A)He was moved by him and heard his pleading, and brought him back to Jerusalem to his kingdom. Then Manasseh ^(B)knew that the Lord alone is God.

²³ So we fasted and sought our God concerning this matter, and He ^[a](A)listened to our pleading.
