⁹ Zion’s gates have fallen to the ground;^(A)
He has destroyed and shattered the bars on her gates.
Her king and her leaders live among the nations,
instruction^[a] is no more,
and even her prophets receive
no vision from the Lord.^(B)

²⁶ Disaster after disaster will come,^(A)
and there will be rumor after rumor.^(B)
Then they will seek a vision from a prophet,^(C)
but instruction will perish from the priests
and counsel from the elders.^(D)
