⁵ Now ^(A)the purpose of the commandment is love ^(B)from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from ^[a]sincere faith, ⁶ from which some, having strayed, have turned aside to ^(C)idle talk, ⁷ desiring to be teachers of the law, understanding neither what they say nor the things which they affirm.

²⁰ O Timothy! ^(A)Guard what was committed to your trust, ^(B)avoiding the profane and ^[a]idle babblings and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge— ²¹ by professing it some have strayed concerning the faith.
