1 Samuel 16:7 New English Translation (NET Bible)

But the Lord said to Samuel, “Don’t be impressed by[a] his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. God does not view things the way people do.[b] People look on the outward appearance,[c] but the Lord looks at the heart.”
