9 (A)Mmanyi bulungi nga tekinneetaagisa kubawandiikira ku nsonga y’okuweereza abatukuvu; 2 (B)kubanga mmanyi nga bwe mwagala ennyo okuyamba, ne mikwano gyaffe wano mu Makedoniya nabategeezaako nga nnenyumiriza ku lwammwe nti ab’omu Akaya babadde beetegefu okuviira ddala mu mwaka ogwayita, era obumalirivu bwammwe bwakubiriza bangi. 3 (C)Nabatumira abooluganda okwenyumiriza kwaffe ku lwammwe kuleme kuba kwa bwereere mu nsonga eyo, mube beetegefu nga bwe nagamba. 4 (D)Si kulwa ng’ab’e Makedoniya bajja nange ne babasanga nga temwetegese, ne tuswala, ne bwe tutaboogerako nti ye mmwe, mu kubeesiga mmwe. 5 (E)Kyenvudde ndowooza nga kiŋŋwanidde okubagumya abooluganda, bano babasookeyo, bateeketeeke ekirabo kye mwasuubiza, ekirabo ekyo kitegekebwe kibeere omukisa so si ekintu eky’okuwalirizibwa.
6 (F)Naye mujjukire nti, “Asiga ekitono alikungula kitono, naye asiga ekinene alikungula kinene.” 7 (G)Buli omu akola nga bw’asazeewo mu mutima gwe, si lwa nnaku, newaakubadde olw’okuwalirizibwa, kubanga Katonda ayagala oyo agaba n’essanyu. 8 (H)Katonda ayinza okwaza ekisa kyonna gye muli, bulijjo mubeerenga n’ebibamala byonna mu buli kintu nga musukkirira mu mulimu gwonna omulungi, 9 (I)nga bwe kyawandiikibwa nti,
“Yasaasaanya, yagabira abaavu.
Obutuukirivu bwe bubeerera emirembe gyonna.”
10 (J)Kubanga oyo awa omulimi ensigo okusiga, ate n’amuwa n’emmere ey’okulya, anaayazanga ensigo yammwe era n’agyongerako, era anaayongeranga ebibala eby’obutuukirivu. 11 (K)Anaabagaggawazanga mu buli kintu, ekyebazisa Katonda mu ffe.
12 (L)Kubanga omulimu gw’obuweereza buno tegukoma ku kuyamba batukuvu abali mu kwetaaga kyokka, kusukkirira mu kwebaza okungi eri Katonda. 13 (M)Olw’obukakafu obuvudde mu buweereza obwo, Katonda agulumizibwa olw’okugonda okw’okwatula kwammwe eri Enjiri ya Kristo, ne mu kugaba kwe mwalaga mu bye mwabawa, n’eri abantu bonna, 14 era n’okubasabira kwe babasabira kubanga babaagala nnyo olw’ekisa kya Katonda eky’ekitalo kye mulina; 15 (N)Katonda yeebazibwe olw’ekirabo ekitayogerekeka.

9 There is no need(A) for me to write to you about this service(B) to the Lord’s people.(C) 2 For I know your eagerness to help,(D) and I have been boasting(E) about it to the Macedonians, telling them that since last year(F) you in Achaia(G) were ready to give; and your enthusiasm has stirred most of them to action. 3 But I am sending the brothers(H) in order that our boasting about you in this matter should not prove hollow, but that you may be ready, as I said you would be.(I) 4 For if any Macedonians(J) come with me and find you unprepared, we—not to say anything about you—would be ashamed of having been so confident. 5 So I thought it necessary to urge the brothers(K) to visit you in advance and finish the arrangements for the generous gift you had promised. Then it will be ready as a generous gift,(L) not as one grudgingly given.(M)
Generosity Encouraged
6 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.(N) 7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give,(O) not reluctantly or under compulsion,(P) for God loves a cheerful giver.(Q) 8 And God is able(R) to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need,(S) you will abound in every good work. 9 As it is written:
10 Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food(V) will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.(W) 11 You will be enriched(X) in every way so that you can be generous(Y) on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.(Z)
12 This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs(AA) of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God.(AB) 13 Because of the service(AC) by which you have proved yourselves, others will praise God(AD) for the obedience that accompanies your confession(AE) of the gospel of Christ,(AF) and for your generosity(AG) in sharing with them and with everyone else. 14 And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you. 15 Thanks be to God(AH) for his indescribable gift!(AI)
