Asa rules Judah as king

Asa did things that pleased the Lord his God. He removed the altars and other places where people worshipped foreign gods. He broke the stone pillars and he cut down the Asherah poles.[a] Asa commanded the people of Judah to worship the Lord, the God of their ancestors. He told them to obey God's law and his commands.

Asa did what was good and right in the eyes of the Lord his God.(B) He removed the foreign altars(C) and the high places, smashed the sacred stones(D) and cut down the Asherah poles.[a](E) He commanded Judah to seek the Lord,(F) the God of their ancestors, and to obey his laws and commands.
