9 For the eyes of the Lord roam throughout the earth(A) to show himself strong for those who are wholeheartedly devoted to him.(B) You have been foolish in this matter. Therefore, you will have wars from now on.” 10 Asa was enraged with the seer and put him in prison[a] because of his anger over this. And Asa mistreated some of the people at that time.

11 Note that the events(C) of Asa’s reign, from beginning to end, are written in the Book of the Kings of Judah and Israel.

9 For the eyes(A) of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. You have done a foolish(B) thing, and from now on you will be at war.(C)”
10 Asa was angry with the seer because of this; he was so enraged that he put him in prison.(D) At the same time Asa brutally oppressed some of the people.
11 The events of Asa’s reign, from beginning to end, are written in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.
