9 (A)For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. In this (B)you have done foolishly; therefore from now on (C)you shall have wars.” 10 Then Asa was angry with the seer, and (D)put him in prison, for he was enraged at him because of this. And Asa oppressed some of the people at that time.

9 For the eyes(A) of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. You have done a foolish(B) thing, and from now on you will be at war.(C)”
10 Asa was angry with the seer because of this; he was so enraged that he put him in prison.(D) At the same time Asa brutally oppressed some of the people.
11 The events of Asa’s reign, from beginning to end, are written in the book of the kings of Judah and Israel.
