23 For the Ammonites and Moabites set upon the inhabitants of Mount Seir and exterminated them according to the ban.(A) And when they had finished with the inhabitants of Seir, each helped to destroy the other.

24 When Judah came to the watchtower of the wilderness and looked toward the throng, there were only corpses fallen on the ground, with no survivors. 25 Jehoshaphat and his people came to gather the spoils, and they found an abundance of cattle and personal property, garments and precious vessels. They took so much that they were unable to carry it all; it took them three days to gather the spoils, there was so much of it.

23 The Ammonites(A) and Moabites rose up against the men from Mount Seir(B) to destroy and annihilate them. After they finished slaughtering the men from Seir, they helped to destroy one another.(C)

24 When the men of Judah came to the place that overlooks the desert and looked toward the vast army, they saw only dead bodies lying on the ground; no one had escaped. 25 So Jehoshaphat and his men went to carry off their plunder, and they found among them a great amount of equipment and clothing[a] and also articles of value—more than they could take away. There was so much plunder that it took three days to collect it.
