7 Did You not, O our God, drive out the inhabitants of this land before Your people Israel and (A)give it to the descendants of (B)Abraham Your friend forever? 8 They have lived in it, and have built You a sanctuary there for Your name, saying, 9 ‘(C)Should evil come upon us, the sword, or judgment, or pestilence, or famine, we will stand before this house and before You (for (D)Your name is in this house) and cry to You in our distress, and You will hear and deliver us.’

7 Our God, did you not drive out the inhabitants of this land(A) before your people Israel and give it forever to the descendants of Abraham your friend?(B) 8 They have lived in it and have built in it a sanctuary(C) for your Name, saying, 9 ‘If calamity comes upon us, whether the sword of judgment, or plague or famine,(D) we will stand in your presence before this temple that bears your Name and will cry out to you in our distress, and you will hear us and save us.’
